Thanks for checking out Mia Cong. To me, fashion is more than a profession. It’s a passion that determines the lens through which I perceive everything around me. Contact me for more information about recent projects, or if you’d like to collaborate on something new.
In 2020, we are dealing with the dangerous Coronavirus, it makes human beings notice that we are so fragile and put the whole world in chaos. People are losing family members, jobs, residences. Right now, the only way that keeps our safety is to stay at home.
On the other hand, mountain fires also harmful to the natural environment, animals, and humans. The toxic gas is store in the air and release as rain. Those People who live nearby are in danger at any time and must evacuate. Base on those, the global economic crisis has happened around the world, it impacts those originally rich people who lived in poverty.
Day by day, in 2030, the world is still during these disasters, and even worse, cured patients may have some side effects in their lifetime. My concept about this project is upcycling. Because during that service people cannot afford expensive clothes and they willing to use old clothes as new clothes’ material. The shape of new clothes may look fluffy and heavier compare with current clothes design.
There are several reasons I chose this model:
This model has an average-looking girl.
This model’s cheeks are sunken.
This model looks like she has some depression during living in that specific period.
This model got malnutrition.
Even though she still willing to look pretty, wearing an oversize coat, it can make up for her skinny body.
Overall, my concept for 2030 the upcycle styling also presents people’s attitudes about life, they want to become richer and healthier.
